This client has a sliver of a view of the Hudson River. Unfortunately it is from the middle of their front yard. Exposed to traffic and neighbors, they sought a design to create a secluded refuge to enjoy coffee while watching ships pass their vantage point.
She, from California, preferred a rugged, craggy feel for their secret spot. We achieved that, and kept the the 'public' exterior of the gardens in step with the suburban environment that surrounded them.
From the street view there is no hint of the magic that lies within.
